The Academy carries out fundamental and illustration research on politics, economy, and Ledislation by co-operating with domestic and foreign organizations and by itself. Since 2002, The Body has been responsibilities for Mongolia under ‘Asian Barometer’ local territory research on democratic Evaluation Moralty.

Mr. Werner M. Prohl first resident representative (1993-1999) of the Konrad Adenauer Fund of Germany was awarded with Pole Star Medal on the basis of his contribution for democracy, human rights and freedom in Mongolia, increasing civil society’s participation, strengthening capacity of nongovernmental organizations, developing local self-governance and reinforcing democratic evaluation by the decree of the President of Mongolia. During presenting the award, President Tsakhiagin Elbegdorj noticed that “Mongolians are always glad with your contribution to Mongolian democracy and Mongolian democracy is not success of any political force and it is success of all Mongolians”.

The International Conference was organized under the auspices of the President of Mongolia on the occasion of the Historical 20th anniversary of Mongolian Democratic Revolution in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 10 December, 2009. The conference was jointly organized by Konrad Adenauer Fund, Academy of Political Education and Secretariat Office of the President of Mongolia.

The winter meeting and training of all staff of Academy of Political Education was held in Ulaanbaatar city on 8-12 December, 2009. During the meeting, training programs, research work, published books, handouts, other activities of the Academy implemented in 2009 were concluded, training plan for 2010 was discussed and preparation work schedule for coming year set. In the meeting, Ganbat. D., director of the Academy, Temuujin. Kh., Member of Parliament, Erdenebat. D., President’s legal assistant, Tuya. U., professor, William Chua, specialist of Nomin Holding, Tumendelger. S., professor of Mongolian Teachers’ University taught lessons. Also, announced “Democracy in Our Life” Essay Competition among students in the frame of the Historical 20th anniversary of Democratic Revolution in Mongolia was completed and winning essays were selected for publication in the journal Shin Toli of the Academy.
